The Religion Of Sports team approached us to develop a graphic system for The Joy of Getting Your Ass Kicked, a documentary shaped by three interconnected narrative layers: the making of Road House, the making of a fighter, and the making of the film itself. They needed a visual language that could hold these parallel stories together while capturing the preparation, intensity, and evolution behind the work.
From illustration and design to animation and post-production, our studio led and managed the full creative package from concept through final delivery.

We developed a system rooted in scripts, storyboards, notes, annotations, and revisions. These production materials became active graphic elements, reflecting the idea that preparation starts long before it moves into the body and onto the screen.
The result is a layered visual universe that reveals what it takes to build both a film and the character of an extraordinary fighter.
